The way Imam Ali (a.s) said on the demise of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s) that I saw that no one was around me and I was as if my arms are cut off so what can I do with chopped arms. Ali says my arms were not there which means Ummah was not there; they were occupied in some other activities. Ummah is the arms of an Imam and Imamate is the socio-political governance system of Islam. These arms are the Ummah whose development takes place through TAQWA which is done through Friday prayers.
